The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, (UTHSCSA) which teaches more than 2,700 students each year, offers training in over 50 health-related degree specialties. UTHSCSA is affiliated with more than 100 hospitals, clinics and health care facilities in South Texas including CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Children’s Hospital.

Attractions/Events:

San Antonio is famous for its four historic missions, which with the Alamo, form Missions Trail - a wonderful way to stroll through Texas history.

The famed River Walk is located downtown along the San Antonio River and is lined with shops, restaurants, clubs and hotels – a must see for every area visitor!

Fiesta – This 10-day event celebrates San Antonio's Mexican heritage and occurs throughout the city. It includes music, food and a variety of art and street parades.

Professional Sports – The San Antonio Spurs, our celebrated pro basketball team is a big draw, for visitors and citizens alike, having won three NBA championships. CHRISTUS Santa Rosa is also the “Official Hospital of the San Antonio Spurs”. Other teams include the San Antonio Silver Stars (women’s pro basketball), San Antonio Rampage (pro hockey) and the San Antonio Missions (minor league baseball).

Golf – There are over 50 golf courses in the area, including courses designed by Lee Trevino and Greg Norman.

Culture – San Antonio is home to art galleries and nationally recognized San Antonio Symphony. We also feature Broadway shows, museums and international touring companies.

Family entertainment – Boredom is never an option here! Families can experience the San Antonio Zoo, SeaWorld and Six Flags Fiesta Texas.

The Hill Country – Just a short, scenic drive from San Antonio lies the Texas Hill Country. Here families can enjoy the charms of small town living and shopping, numerous outdoor activities, river tubing, water parks, camping, food, dining and remote getaways.
